Sarasota County Library Meeting and Study Rooms are open for public use.

Sarasota County Libraries provides Meeting Rooms for nonprofit groups whose aims are cultural, educational, intellectual, charitable and/or for discussions of current public issues.  Study Rooms are designed for independent study or small work groups. Note that the Osprey Public Library at Spanish Point does not offer meeting spaces to reserve.

Meeting Rooms- can be reserved up to 12 times a year, with at least 72 hour notice. 

Study Rooms- can be reserved up to 2 hours/day, up to 30 days in advance, and with 24 hour notice.

To reserve a meeting room or study room:

  1. Visit our Reserve a Room web page from our website or by clicking here
  2. Read the Room Policies and Rules of Use. If you agree to these terms, click AgreeYou will be directed to our Room Reservation page.
  3. Select the library location you would like to use.
  4. You may now select to reserve By Room or By DayAn open door icon and a calendar day icon
    By Room  will allow you to view all rooms that can be reserved at each location. Selecting Room Details will take you to information about the chosen room, as well as its openings by week, split into days and 15-minute time increments. Available times will be in white with a blue plus sign (+) to the right of them. Click on the plus sign to be directed to the reservation request form. If a section does not contain a plus sign, then it is not available. Additionally, when reserving a room, the form will ask about setup time and teardown time. If this time exceeds into either the library's opening, closing, or another meeting, than your reservation will not be made.

    By Day will let you search by available days and time periods in 15-minute increments, and allow you to filter those dates by library branch as well. Rooms that match your search filters will appear in the results, with options to view Room Details or to directly Reserve This Room.
