Computer access is managed by software that requires either a current library card or a Guest Pass that can be requested at the Reference or Information Desk. Library card holders may have two 1-hour sessions or two 1/2 hour sessions per day depending on the library. Sessions can be extended if no one is waiting. Guests may have two 15 minute sessions per day on an express computer.
Computers have Internet access and Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Publisher. Sound is available for those who bring their own headphones. Work can be saved to a flashdrive.
All Sarasota County Libraries also offer wireless Internet access to patrons using their own appropriately equipped wireless devices.
