There are a few ways you can renew library materials: online, through the Sarasota County Library's app, by phone, or in person at any Sarasota County Library location.
Online
1. Go to the library catalog.
2. Log into My Account with your library card number or username, and your PIN, which unless requested otherwise is the last 4 digits of your library card number.
3. In your account, click on Items Currently Checked Out.
4. Click on Renew all or you can also select individual items to renew by clicking the box in the renew column to the left and then choosing Renew Selected.
1. Open the app by clicking on the "Find Yourself in the Library" icon.
2. Select My Account.
3. Select View My Record.
5.Select the item or items to renew (each item should show a grey highlight once you've selected it).
6. Select Manage Selected and a pop-up window will appear.
7. Select Renew Item(s) to renew.
8. A message will appear letting you know if your item(s) was successfully renewed.
Please note: to be able to renew online or through the app, you must renew before the due date. If your item is overdue, please contact the library for assistance.
Phone:
Please call (941) 861-1110 during regular hours for our Info Central department: Monday through Thursday, 10 a.m to 8 p.m. and Friday/Saturday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Please have your library card number ready. You can also contact Info Central online to renew items through their "Chat with us" linked here.
All materials may be renewed except for materials with patron holds or if they have already been renewed 5 times. If your items are overdue, you may only be able to renew by phone or in person.

Can a visitor get a computer only library card?by RICHARD on Jan 12, 2019

Hi Richard, All Sarasota County Libraries offer guest passes for in-library use of public computers. Each of these guest passes grants users up to two one-hour sessions, though sessions can be extended if no one is waiting. Hope this helps! - Diegoby Diego Hernandez-Calabria, Library Professional on Apr 06, 2020
