The following libraries have received tax forms and instruction booklets:

  • Betty J. Johnson North Sarasota Library has the 1040 and 1040SR forms in English and Spanish, and instructions available in English.
  • Elsie Quirk Library has tax forms and instruction booklets.
  • Fruitville Library has tax forms and instructions in English and Spanish
  • Frances T. Bourne Jacaranda Library has no tax forms but can print upon request.
  • North Port Library has 1040 and 1040SR forms and instruction booklets. 
  • Selby Library (upstairs by the elevators) has the tax forms and instruction booklets
  • William H. Jervey Jr. Venice Library has the 1040 and 1040SR forms and instruction booklets. 
  • Gulf Gate Library has 1040 forms.

The following libraries are currently waiting on forms and instruction booklets: 

Osprey Library and Shannon Staub Library do not expect to receive hard copies.

Shannon Staub staff have been printing the two page worksheet and showing people where to find the workbook online, and periodically they have received a few copies from other libraries.  

All tax forms are also available to print and download for free here on the IRS website. This is the basic 1040 form and this is the 1040 instruction booklet. Additional forms, schedules, languages and instructions can be found on the IRS website.

All Sarasota County Libraries are currently offering free printing of up to 30 pages per day. 

AARP and the United Way's VITA Tax preparation volunteers will be returning to several libraries in 2023 with their free tax prep program.
