When will Fruitville Public Library be closed?
The library building will be closed Monday, May 15 through Sunday, May 21 for interior renovations. Regular hours resume on Monday, May 22.
Can I pick up or return library materials from Fruitville when the building is closed for construction?

General Construction Information for Fruitville Public Library
What type of building improvements are being made?
Starting March 22, Fruitville Public Library will begin a series of building improvements for a roof demo and installation, as well as a window installation, but will remain open at this time. Please pardon our dust as we work to improve the library for our patrons. Any service interruptions will be announced in advance on the county’s social media channels, @SRQCountyGov.
What should library patrons expect?
When the library is open, patrons can expect to see workers and equipment on the southwest side of the library. The rear entrance will be closed to traffic as it will act as the staging area including materials, dumpsters, a portable restroom, scaffolding and heavy equipment. Various noise related disruptions can be expected at this time.
When will construction work take place?
The Envelope Renovation project at Fruitville Library will begin on Monday, March 27th and continue into June 2023.
Workers will be replacing the roof and windows throughout this time. Working will be conducted from 7 a.m. until dark.
