You can cancel a hold for yourself online, or you may ask library staff to cancel an item for you in person, on the phone (941-861-1110) or through Ask Us (chat, text or email).

Holds can be cancelled at any time, just as long as they are not "in transit" or "ready for pickup."

To cancel a hold yourself, you will need your 14-digit library card number or username and PIN.

How to cancel a hold:

3. To cancel a hold, place a check in the corresponding checkbox on the left. Then click Update List found either at the top or the bottom of your hold list. This image is a screenshote of what it looks like when a patron is given the option to proceed when changing a hold preference.
