Filing for unemployment(also called re-employment assistance), goes through the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity. Their "Apply for Benefits" page is linked hereThe logo for Florida Department of Economic OpportunityThis is where you can file for unemployment.

This is found through the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity website.  To contact them directly, you can:

  • Call the hotline at  1-800-204-2418.
  • Call the General Information Number at 850-245-7105
  • Use their help center linked here to email your office of choice
    • To access the email click on the "Remployment Assistance Help Center" link and it will take you through a series of FAQ prompts. If your question cannot be answered through an FAQ than, you will be provided with a contact page where you can put your information and an agent will get back to you.
