There are two ways you can reset your PIN. We can have your PIN reset at one of the Sarasota County Libraries or you are able to reset it online through the Library Catalog. You will need your 14-digit library card number.

If you have an email address on record with the library (we can check that for you if you are not sure), we can send you a link that will allow you to reset your PIN. Visit the Library Catalog page and click on the Log In Button in the upper right corner.

Click on I forgot my PIN. You will be asked to enter your library barcode number (14 digits, with no spaces). An email with a link to reset your PIN will be automatically sent. Please keep in mind that the link is good for only five minutes.

The other way is to have library staff reset it for you. You can do this in person at any of the ten library locations or call the library at 941-861-1110 during regular business hours.

Reset PIN/password in your Library Account

If you know your PIN/password and would like to reset it through the library catalog, log in to your account and click on your name (below) or click on My Bookshelf in the bottom left-hand corner of the page to redirect you to your profile.

You will be re-directed to My Bookshelf. Click Edit Profile.

Continue to scroll down and select the Change PIN button. You will then be prompted to type in your current PIN and the option to create a new PIN.

Select the Change PIN button to confirm the changes. Please let us know if you have any further questions. We're happy to help!
