When an item you have requested is ready for pickup, you may be notified by automated voice message or email (depending on your preference). If you choose the email option, please make sure to add "libraryinfo@scgov.net" to your safe senders list.
To see the status of your holds, log into your account through the catalog. When you see that an item is denoted as 0 - Ready for Pickup, it's available for pickup at your branch. You will also see Pickup Date (formatted as Month, Day, Year) which will alert you of the date the hold will expire. The item will be held until closing on that specific day.
Most items that are ready for pickup will be held on the holds shelf until closing on the seventh day. For mobile hotspots, you will have three days to pick up your hotspot once it has arrived at your branch. After that time, it moves on to the next person in line.
For privacy reasons, telephone notifications do not disclose the title of the item being held. If you have any questions about your holds, or would like to change your notification preferences, call us at 941-861-1110.
