Sarasota County Libraries close for most major and federal holidays, as well as for staff training. Closings are announced on the library's website, and are also listed on the online Library Events calendar.

Daily hours of operation for each of our ten libraries can be found here

To search for closings:

  1. Go to our Library Events calendar.
  2. Click on Filters on the left side of the screen
    Monthly Calendar
  3. Enter the keywords "libraries closed," and click Apply at the bottom of the blue box.
