Yes, there is a Sarasota County Library app available on both IOS and Android. Simply go to your app store and search for Sarasota County Libraries. Then download the app onto your device.
To set up your account, touch the Find Yourself At the Library icon and go to My Account. Then touch Account Set Up. Then touch Add Account. Enter your library barcode number and your PIN.
If you do not know your PIN please follow these instructions:
If you have an email address on record with the library, we can send you a link that will allow you to reset your PIN. Just go to www.scgov.net/library and click on My Account. Then enter your library card barcode, and click on Forgot Your PIN? You will be asked to resubmit your barcode number, then you will receive an email with the link. The link is only good for 3 hours, so keep that in mind.
Or call the library at (941) 861-1110 and library staff can reset it for you.
Once you have submitted your information, you will receive a message that says you’ve been successful. Then touch Home on the bottom of the page. Explore the features of the app by touching an image to open it. For example, you can renew items, view your holds and pay fines in My Account. You can search for items and place holds in Search the Catalog.
If you’d like to contact someone at the library, please touch the envelope at the bottom of the home page. You will be able to call or email us.
