As of October 2023, Sarasota County Libraries rolled out their Pop-Up Library!

Sarasota County Libraries and Historical Resources is thrilled to announce the launch of our latest library service- the Pop Up Library. Thanks for The William and Marie Selby Foundation and The Foundation of Sarasota County Libraries the library will be making visits across Sarasota County.  This customized vehicle will be the first of its kind in Sarasota County and brings the library’s technology, books, and programs to communities with limited access to library resources. Staffed with a full-time librarian and outreach specialist, the Pop-Up Library will also provide:

  • Mobile Wi-Fi
  • STEM-based makerspace
  • Employment and database services
  • Programming for children, families, and senior citizens"

To see the schedule of stops, please see the Pop-Up Library's Calendar, linked here.

You can also place a request to have the Pop-Up Library stop at particular locations.  Here's a link to the request form.
