Ask a Librarian provides Florida residents with online reference services via live chat and text messaging from 10 a.m. to midnight Sunday through Thursday (ET), and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday (ET). It's similar to Sarasota County Libraries' Ask Us Service, but for all of Florida.

It is an official service of the Florida Electronic Library and is managed by the Tampa Bay Library Consortium.
