Live Tutoring

Live tutoring is available daily from 2:00 pm to 11:00 pm, including weekends (except for holidays). Spanish speaking tutors are also available. Patrons can start a tutoring session by clicking Live Tutoring under Expert Help and choosing their grade level and subject. Patrons and tutors can communicate via the virtual whiteboard or through the chat box. Patrons can also upload files, such as a homework assignment or math problem they need help with.

Patrons can also request tutoring help when they are viewing a lesson, practice results, and more. Simply click on the Live Tutor button on the lesson page or practice test to start a live tutoring session.

Once a tutoring session is ended, patrons will then have the option to playback the session or email a transcript of the session. Patrons who create a free account with Brainfuse HelpNow can also view their past tutoring sessions.

Writing Lab

The Writing Lab allows patrons to upload papers and writing assignments and receive feedback from tutors on how they can improve their writing and their paper. Feedback is usually available after one business day.

Lessons and Practice Tests

Lessons and practice tests are available for a variety of subjects and grade levels, including Kindergarten through college. Lessons are also available for computers and technology, college preparation and standardized tests such as the ACT and SAT, the U.S. citizenship test, and high school equivalency help, such as the GED.

Language Lab

The Language Lab offers tutoring assistance and lessons on learning Spanish.

Flashbulb

Flashbulb offers study games and flashcards for patrons to play and study with. Patrons can create their own games and choose to share them with other Brainfuse HelpNow users or keep them private. Patrons can also access other games created by other users on a variety of subjects. Any game with a checkmark next to the name has had its information verified.

Meet

Patrons can use the Meet feature to schedule a private, virtual study room for multiple users. This is a great way to study together virtually or to work on class projects and homework together. All you'll need to schedule the session is to pick your date and time and then type in the email addresses for everyone you'd like to invite to the meeting. Once you schedule the meeting, each person will receive an email with a link the virtual study room. Participants in the study room can communicate with each other using the virtual whiteboard, chat box, or by speaking aloud, if their device has a microphone.

Brainwave

Brainfuse HelpNow also offers patrons the chance to record Brainwaves. This feature allows the user to use their virtual whiteboard and record all activity on the whiteboard. The program will automatically edit out any pauses in the recording where there's not any activity, so if a user needs to take a break or pause for any reason, they don't need to worry about stopping the recording. Once finished, the recording is saved to the user's account and can be shared with others.

Cloudpack

Brainfuse HelpNow also offers patrons cloud storage through Cloudpack. Patrons can upload files to Cloudpack, save links to websites, and even create new documents and files. Anything stored in Cloudpack can also be shared in live tutoring sessions.

eParachute

This feature allows patrons to explore college majors and careers. Patrons can also take a eParachute's test to get recommendations for potential careers and college majors based on their field interests, skills, and personality.

Adult Learning Center

The Adult Learning Center offers several resources for adult learners, including high school equivalency preparation, U.S. citizenship test preparation, Microsoft Office tutorials, career resources, and resume help. Similar to the Writing Lab, users can upload their resumes to receive feedback on how they can improve their resume. They can also access resume templates and get help from a live resume coach.

Mobile App

Brainfuse HelpNow is also available as a mobile app for smartphones and tablets. However, not all of Brainfuse HelpNow's features are available in the app. Live tutoring help and Flashbulb are two of the features available in the app. Additionally, patrons must first register for a free account with Brainfuse HelpNow on a computer before they can log into the app.
