Hoopla has a "daily lending limit" in order to stay within the Sarasota County Library's monthly budget for this resource. You may see this message when trying to check out an item on Hoopla.

Here are some tips:

Usage tends to go up in the early evening.  Our best recommendation is to borrow items in the morning.  You do not have to view/read at that time, of course, just "Borrow" so that it is checked out to you. Then, you can watch/read at any time during the specified check out period.  Depending on demand, usage is different each day.

Fruitville Renovation

Renovations and expansion building works will be happening at Fruitville Library, which will require Fruitville Library to temporarily close on Dec. 18. The reimagined library is scheduled to reopen in July 2026.
