Mission: Sarasota County Library system offers equal access to information, fosters lifelong learning, and inspires community engagement.

Programming: The purpose of library programming is to support the library’s mission. All library programs must be free and open to the public. Programs may be presented by library staff or community members.

Program Selection: Program proposals from the public, which complement the library's collections, services, and goals are selected according to the needs and interests of the community; the suitability of each library's physical space; the program's contribution to the library's overall schedule of events; and the availability of Library staff to assist with the presentation of the program at the library venue. Selected programs must comply with the library Meeting Room Policies and Rules of Use, which mandate the program be open to the public, free of charge and prohibit commercial advertising or direct solicitation. 

Individuals and organizations interested in partnering with the library on programs are invited to submit a Presenter Proposal Form in alignment with these guidelines. Once you have submitted your form, library programmers will contact you if your submission is in alignment with their programming goals.
