What is a Launchpad?
Launchpads, a Playaway product, are tablets pre-loaded with content for kids, teens, and adults, designed with a simple, easy-to-use interface, and are 100% secure. Launchpad tablets are made to be passed from one set of hands to the next.
Each Launchpad has a theme and comes loaded with a set of Brain Games to make learning fun! The Sarasota County Library Catalog categorizes the Launchpads by both theme and contents.
Is there anything to download? Is Wi-Fi needed?
There is no need to download content and wi-fi is not needed to use a launchpad.
How long can I borrow a Launchpad?
Launchpads will circulate for 2 weeks.
How do I charge Launchpad?
Launchpads charge with a micro-USB cord.
Which ages are Launchpads geared towards?
There are launchpads for Adults, Teens and Children. The library has launchpads for all age groups.
What do I do if a Launchpad won't turn on?
The first step to take is to make sure the Launchpad is charged. If it is already completely charged and will not turn on, perform a hard reset by holding down the power button for 15 seconds.
