SRQCon is Selby Library's annual pop culture convention, celebrating all your favorite books, characters, fandoms, and more!
Previous years activities have included the following:
- vendor booths
- guest lecturers and panels
- arts & crafts
- a cosplay contest
- food trucks
- escape rooms
- scavenger hunts
This program is always free and is for all ages. No library card is required.

Closure Notice
Fruitville Renovation
Renovations and expansion building works will be happening at Fruitville Library, which will require Fruitville Library to temporarily close on Dec. 18. The reimagined library is scheduled to reopen in July 2026.
Holds Pickup Interruption at Fruitville Library
With the closure of the Fruitville Library, there will be a brief period over the holidays when you will be unable to pick up your holds.
To ensure you receive your long-awaited items, please pick them up by 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 17. Our portable library pickup option will be available in early January.
If you prefer, you may also change your hold pickup location to another library before that date. If you need assistance updating your pickup location, please call 941-861-1110.
