To update any of the information in your library record, you can visit a library location, call us at 941-861-1110, or log into your library account online.
Because your library account is contingent upon your residency in Sarasota County, you cannot change your physical address in your online record. To change the physical address in your library account you must call 941-861-1110 or come to a Sarasota County Library in person with proof of your change of address.
You can change your Email address, Telephone number, preferred Method of Contact, your Hold Pick-up library, and PIN.
To edit your information:
1. Go to the library catalog.
2. If your screen darkens: Look to the bottom of the page for a white bar notifying about site cookies. Click the X to close the bar and continue.
3. Click on Log In in the upper right corner and login with your library card number and your PIN.
4. After logging in, click on My Bookshelf located in the bottom left corner of your screen to update your profile, or you can click on your name in the upper right corner of your screen, click on your name, and proceed forward.
5. Click on the Edit Profile button where you can change your Telephone number, Email address, preferred Method of Contact, your Hold Pick-up library, and PIN.
6. Select Save when you have entered your information.
