You can save items to the Bookmarks tab on My Bookshelf for later use. You can also create your own lists to organize your saved items. For example, you might want to create a list for cookbooks, a list for pleasure reading, and a list for DVDs.
Note: Lists are not shared between the Enhanced catalog and the Basic catalog. The following instructions are to save and maintain lists within the Enhanced catalog. See the section below for List instructions within the Basic catalog.
Create a List (Enhanced Catalog)
- Open the Library Catalog and log in to your account in the upper right corner.
- After logging in, enter a title, author, subject, or topic in the search bar and either press Enter or select Search
- For the example above, we searched "Garden" If you wanted to create a list and save this item to it, select For Later
- You will now have the option to save it to the For Later list, or you can select New List, enter a name for the list and select Done.
- To view your saved lists, select Bookmarks in the bottom left corner or click on the
in the upper right corner next to your name.
- You can see my new created list "Gardening." As you add more items into your list, you can Sort by (Oldest First, Newest First, Title Ascending, Title Descending), select an item to place it on hold, and you have the option to Remove From List.
Share a saved list
You can either share a saved list by email, or you can copy a list link and share it by other means.
- Go to your Bookmarks tab and click on
and you can E-mail List to yourself or others or Copy List Link to share.
Create a List (Basic Catalog)
- After logging in and searching for an item in the Basic catalog, click Add to List on the right side of the result you wish to save.
- On the pop-up menu that appears, you may click Working List to save the item without creating a new list. Otherwise, select New List to create a list.
- On the next page, if this is your first list, accept the Sunshine Law disclaimer to continue.
- Create a name for the list, then click Create List.
- You may view your saved lists from the My Account tab by clicking My Lists.
My Lists will display the last list you viewed. On this page, you may:
- Create a new list or select other lists to view
- Sort items in the list (sort by added date, author, etc.)
- Select items to remove/copy/move from the current list
- Print or email the current list
- Delete the current list
