Patrons can create usernames to substitute their library card number when logging in to the library's online catalog.

Steps

  1. Access the "Basic" catalog (link also available on our main library catalog). Note: usernames can only be created from within the Basic catalog, but can be used to log in to either version.
  2. Click  at the top-right corner of the page.
  3. On the login page, click Create Username under the "Username or Barcode" text field.

  4. Enter your library card number/barcode and PIN/password, then click Next Step
  5. You will be taken to your account page. Look below for the drop-down box labeled Change Logon and click to expand. Click the box next to Change Username, then type your username into the text fields.

Note: All usernames must begin with a letter (a-z, A-Z), can contain letters, numbers, and the special characters - _ . @ (Spaces are not allowed, and special characters can not be contiguous.)
  6. At the bottom of the page, click to submit the changes. A message will confirm the change and you will receive an email confirmation in addition.
