Culture Pass provides Sarasota County residents free or discounted access to theaters, museums, and other attractions. They can access passes through our website.
SarasotaCountyLibraries.org/CulturePass
Adult resident cardholders in good standing may use Culture Pass. Children and teen resident cardholders have viewing access for attractions, but only adults can request passes.
Reciprocal borrowers, paid cardholders (nonresident), and PC Access cardholders are not eligible.
We are actively working to add more venues and will update this list as passes become available. Please visit SarasotaCountyLibraries.org/CulturePass for current participating venues.
Visit SarasotaCountyLibraries.org/CulturePass and login to the Culture Pass website with your library card number and your PIN (usually the last four digits of your card number). Detailed directions for how to retrieve each pass are posted for each venue in the offer description.
All you need is an Adult library card and your PIN number (usually the last four digits of your card number).
It depends on the venue. Requirements for retrieving passes are set by each venue. Directions on how to retrieve each pass are explicitly stated in the confirmation email. Some passes will need to be printed, others will be digital passes available via mobile phone, others will require users to contact the box office first to retrieve.
This also depends on the venue. Under each venue there will be one or more offers. Each offer will have a detailed description of what the pass entitles you to and how to redeem it.
Email reminders are sent to patrons automatically. The email may be from "CulturePassSarasota" with our libraryinfo@scgov.net email address, and the subject line may be "Your Culture Pass with Sarasota County Libraries and Historical Resources".
No. Users may cancel a pass before it has been downloaded/printed. Canceling the pass allows another patron to use the pass. Additionally, canceling the pass allows the same patron to request a pass to that venue again without having to wait until the next timeframe (such as "Library card holders may reserve 1 per calendar year").
No. Passes will become available if someone cancels their pass.
Since our Culture Pass calendar shows the current month plus two months, some passes may become available when the next calendar month is visible, or when the next usage limit timeframe becomes available, which may be weekly, monthly or annually.
Passes are issued for a specific date. Performance/theatre venues my require you to redeem the pass for an entry ticket, subject to availability.
