When you update the PIN on your library card, you may also need to update your hoopla account with the new PIN.

Here are the steps:

  • Go to hoopla in a web browser at hoopladigital.com.
    Note: Updating the PIN in the app may not resolve the issue.
  • Login with your email address and the password you setup with hoopla. If necessary, use the Forgot password link to reset your password with hoopla.
  • Once logged into hoopla, click on the Gear icon in the upper right corner to open Settings.

  • In the horizontal menu, go to "Library" 

     
  • Confirm the library name is Sarasota County Library System (FL)
    Search for Sarasota County Library System
     
  • Update the library card number (if necessary) and type the PIN.
    Update the library card number and PIN fields, then click Save.
     
  • Press the blue Save button.  

If your PIN in hoopla does not work for you, we have a few options:

    • I forgot my passcode option (an email process to reset your PIN),
    • Edit Profile within My Bookshelf > Profile. For more help, click here.
