When we update our PIN on our library card, we may need to update the account in hoopla with the correct PIN.

The following details may help you to resolve this.

Here are the steps:

  • Go to hoopla in a web browser at hoopladigital.com.
    Note: Updating the PIN in the app may not resolve the issue.
  • Login with your email address and the password you setup with hoopla. If necessary, use the Forgot password link to reset your password with hoopla.
  • Once logged into hoopla, click on the Gear icon in the upper right corner to open Settings.

  • In the horizontal menu, go to "Library" 

     
  • Confirm the library name is Sarasota County Library System (FL)
    Search for Sarasota County Library System
     
  • Update the library card number (if necessary) and type the PIN.
    Update the library card number and PIN fields, then click Save.
     
  • Press the blue Save button.  

 

Your PIN is defaulted to be the last four digits of your library card number.  If this doesn't work for you, we have a few options:

  • In the library catalog's My Account page:
    • Forgot your PIN option (an email process to reset your PIN),
    • Login to the My Account page and click the Modify PIN button.
  • Call our Info Central team at 941-861-1110, or
  • Visit one of our libraries.
