Here's a way to make sure you're getting the library's notices that you want.
Physical Items - Ready for Pickup
There are 3 common reasons why the 'ready for pickup' and other notices may not be getting to your email inbox:
- Your correct email address is not in your library account. For instance, your email address might be misspelled in your account, or if your email address has changed, the library might have your old address.
- Your preference to receive email notices may not have been noted in your account.
- Email notices from the library may be ending up in your spam or junk folder.
If you would like to check your email address yourself, please log in to your library account at http://sarac.scgov.net, click Modify Personal Info, and verify the email address listed in your account.
Or call the library at (941) 861-1110 with your library card in hand, and ask staff to make sure your email address and preference for email notices have been recorded.
For #3 above, please add libraryinfo@scgov.net and Library-do-not-reply@scgov.net to your email contact list.
cloudLibrary email notifications
It is important to complete the email verification process when signing up for email notifications. If not verified, notification emails won't arrive.

- Login and click your barcode number
- Click Email Notification to view preferences.
- Click the Resend Verification Email button.
- If cloudLibrary reflects that this email address has been verified, change the setting to No, Don't verify me and click Save.
- Then reopen the Email Notification (click barcode number, then Email Notification).
- Click Yes, notify me and type your email address.
- Open your email inbox to locate the new verification email from noreply@notifications.yourcloudlibrary.com with the subject "cloudLibrary hold email verification"
- Click the link to verify your email address.
cloudLibrary app:
- Tap Account
- Tap Notifications
- Tap the Resend Verification Email button.
- If cloudLibrary reflects that this email address has been verified, change the setting to No, Don't verify me and click Save.
- Then reopen the Email Notification (click Account, then Notification).
- Click Yes, notify me and type your email address.
- Open your email inbox to locate the new verification email from noreply@notifications.yourcloudlibrary.com with the subject "cloudLibrary hold email verification"
- Click the link to verify your email address.
