Physical Items - Ready for Pickup

Email icon

Not receiving “ready for pickup” or other library emails? Here are the most common reasons:

  1. Your email address may be missing, incorrect, or outdated in your library account.
  2. Your account may not be set to receive email notices.
  3. Library emails may be going to your spam or junk folder.

To check your email address, log in to the library catalog (opens in a new tab) , open My Bookshelf, then Profile, and review your email address. For help updating your information, visit updating your account information (opens in a new tab) .

You can also call the library at (941) 861-1110 with your library card ready. Staff can confirm your email address and notification preferences.

Additional Email Tips

  • Check your spam or junk folders.
  • Use your email’s search feature to find messages about holds or event registrations.
  • Emails may come from library-do-not-reply@scgov.net or libraryinfo@scgov.net; add both to your contacts.
  • For best results, check your email using a web browser (Chrome, Edge, Safari). Some apps, like Apple Mail, may not display automated messages correctly.
  • If you previously marked library emails as spam or unsubscribed, they may be blocked. Check your email provider’s settings to allow these messages again.
